It makes sense, all “fad” genres tend to fade out and of the bookstore shelves at some point, but this one is especially exciting.

@BShutts clued us in on Etsy’s Typewriter Round-Up today. Thank god we don’t make any profits off The Golden Triangle, because I’m pretty sure all of it would have just been spent.

Breaking J.K. Rowling News of the Day: News from the industry vine this morning is that J.K. Rowling has officially signed a book deal with Little, Brown, and will soon be releasing her highly anticipated Harry Potter follow up.
No word yet on title, plot, or publication date, but word is that the book’s target audience will be adults.
“Although I’ve enjoyed writing it every bit as much, my next book will be very different to the Harry Potter series,” said the author in a press release.
The freedom to explore new territory is a gift that Harry’s success has brought me, and with that new territory it seemed a logical progression to have a new publisher. I am delighted to have a second publishing home in Little, Brown, and a publishing team that will be a great partner in this new phase of my writing life.

It’s been a lifelong dream of mine to write a children’s book. I hope the minutes you and your loved ones spend reading it are as fulfilling as the minutes I spent writing it.

Most of us have been taught that there are 7 basic plots in fiction.
However, William Wallace Cook shows us that there are almost 1,500 different plots!
His book Plotto was originally published in 1928, and has recently been reissued.
Much of the book is laid out in an algebraic format, and apparently came from Cook’s need to expand his mind and writing life. At the time he wrote Plotto. He was churning out about a book a week!
Absolutely just placed an order for this.
